Caramels
While the exact origin of caramel is unknown, it is believed that about the year of 1650 American settlers were making hard candies in kettles. Between this time and the early 1880's, some ingenious person decided to add fat and milk while boiling sugar and water, creating what is now known as caramel. With its thick, chewy texture, its rich, creamy flavor and its warm, comforting scent, caramel is a flavor we’ve all learned to love. Try it by itself or surrounded by delicious chocolate, either way you will not be disappointed.
